Thirty years ago, Eric Meola photographed Bruce Springsteen for the photo shoot that resulted in the iconic album cover of Born to Run. Now, alongside the lyrics of that entire album, Meola shares previously unpublished photographs from that historic session with The Boss. Bruce Springsteen is one of the most important songwriters and performers of the last three decades. Born To Run is the album that put Bruce Springsteen on the cover of both Newsweek and Time. It is a timeless snap-shot of Americana -- all sweaty, high energy, and tuned to a carnival-like level. With the release in 1975 of Born To Run, music critics proclaimed that the songwriter's baton had been passed from Dylan to Springsteen. For many critics of the day, Born To Run made Springsteen the most important artist of his generation. It was on this album that Springsteen's songs first portrayed a glorious yet very real side of the American Dream.
